Rheumatoid Arthritis and

Positive ANA

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes joint inflammation, pain, and swelling. It can also affect other organs, including the heart, lungs, and eyes. This autoimmune disease is linked to a positive ANA.

Symptoms Include:

  • Joint pain, stiffness, and swelling, especially in the hands, wrists, and feet
  • Pain and stiffness that worsens after resting
  • Morning stiffness that lasts more than an hour
  • Fatigue, fever, and loss of appetite
  • Joint deformity
  • Lumps called rheumatoid nodules

Treatment

If left untreated, RA can increase the risk of mortality. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent joint damage and worsening symptoms. There's no cure for RA, but it can be managed with treatment.
